Our General Manager is at the helm of the operation. He/she sets and achieves the highest standards in every facet of the restaurant including the customer experience, the training and supervision employees, and financial results. The General Manager must have a passion for providing a quality product and the best service while optimizing sales and profitability. He/she should be a motivational leader, a skilled communicator, and an innovative problem solver.
The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager (GM) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant. He/she trains and develops crew, manages the budget set by the GM, and promotes and upholds the expectation of excellent customer service. The Assistant Manager provides leadership and direction for Captains and Crew and creates a positive atmosphere for the customers as well as the employees.
The Captain is responsible for either the Front of House (FOH) or Back of House (BOH) operations under the direction of the Assistant Manager. The FOH Captain sets, models, and upholds the expectations for producing a quality product in an efficient and timely manner while providing a positive and smooth experience for customers. The BOH Captain works to ensure that food is prepared by following proper recipes and procedures, and adhering to all quality control and food safety and sanitation standards.
A member of the crew keeps the operation afloat. At Be Leaf we have one title for all our entry-level positions. A crew member helps prepare our fresh ingredients by following proper recipes and procedures and also helps keep our restaurant sanitary and safe for all the delicious food we are serving up. Crew members are interacting with our customers as they carefully portion out salads per our recipes and standards, while sharing our Be Leafs with enthusiasm to ensure a positive experience while visiting the restaurant. Crew members will take initiative by finding tasks that need to get done and staying busy to keep the operation running smoothly.
